This handmade Mini Lokta Mixed Colour Cotton Notebook comes from Nepal and combines colorful craftsmanship with centuries-old paper tradition. With its handy format of 12 x 8 cm, it accompanies you everywhere – in your bag, on trips, to your altar, or in quiet moments in between.

The cover consists of a vibrant collage of multi-colored cotton fabrics. Each surface is unique. Small differences in color and texture make each book a one-of-a-kind piece with its own character.

Inside are 40 pages of traditional Lokta paper. Lokta is a Himalayan shrub from the Daphne genus that grows at altitudes of approximately 1,500 to 3,000 meters. Only the bark is used for paper production – the shrub itself remains intact and regenerates completely. No trees are cut down.

The handmade Lokta paper is particularly tear-resistant, durable, and has a natural texture. In Nepal, it was used for centuries for religious texts and official documents because it is extremely durable. So you're not writing on ordinary paper here, but on a material with history. 🌿
